Introduction
Coal is currently the most important source of energy in the world. The clean conversion and efficient utilization of coal to reduce the negative impact of direct coal combustion on the environment is an inevitable development trend of coal applications. This special issue focuses on green processing, clean conversion and efficient use of coal. In addition, special attention is paid to the development and application of coal-based materials and other high value-added coal products. The aim is to showcase the latest research in the above-mentioned fields and to continuously explore the processing, transformation and utilization of coal. We accept the papers and letters on research methods, optimization processes, product applications and research reviews in the above mentioned fields.
