Power electronics has matured as a discriminating technology for a wide variety of applications from industrial to transportation to commercial to appliances to energy efficiency and to handheld devices. The technology has evolved tremendously to approach a wide range of applications and implementations that push limits in dynamics and energy conversion performance. Consequently, the amount of research work in emerging and selected topics and the need for close collaborations among industry, research, and academia are growing in an unprecedented speed. The challenge in the coming years lies in developing new techniques at the lowest possible cost, size and weight for emerging applications.
International Journal of Electrical Components and Energy Conversion also welcomes manuscripts presenting information not previously published in journals on any aspect of solar energy research, development, application and power systems related to the generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electrical energy. The scope covers applications and technologies in the field of power electronics with special focus on cost-effective, efficient, power dense, environmental friendly and robust solutions, which includes Electric drives/generators, renewable energy, industrial and consumable applications. All type of converter topologies for low and high power applications including but not limited to: inverter, rectifier, dc/dc converter, power supplies, UPS, ac/ac converter, resonant converter, high frequency converter, hybrid converter, multilevel converter, power factor correction circuits and other advanced topologies.
Aims and Scope:
  1. Modeling & Simulation of Power Electronic & Drives systems
  2. Power electronics converters
  3. Innovative topologies: soft-switching techniques, resonant converters, switch-capacitor converters and hybrid switched-capacitor converters
  4. Novel architectures: multiphase converters, multilevel converters, modular converters, etc
  5. Fault ride through for Renewable Energy Systems
  6. PV converters & integration techniques for grid connected systems
  7. Power quality related issues for Renewable Energy Systems
