About Special Issues
A Special Issue suggested by the Lead Guest Editor, is a collection of articles on a hot topical research area within the scope of the journal. The Special Issue will provide a venue for research on emerging areas, highlight important subdisciplines, or describe new cross-disciplinary applications.
Proposing a Special Issue

Step 4: Download the Proposal Form and fill in the required information.
Step 5: Upload your completed Proposal Form and click “Submit”.

Preparing a Special Issue
The sections below will help you in writing a qualified Special Issue proposal.
Information to Be Provided in a Proposal
●  A proposed submission deadline (we normally run a Special Issue for 3–6 months);
●  A list of at least 6 keywords for the Special Issue;
●  A brief introduction of the prospective Guest Editors together with their information (title, name, email, affiliation, personal website, keywords of interests);
●  A summary of 150-400 words to rationally explain the significance, novelty, technical advancement, and adherence to the scope of the journal of the proposed topic.
Choosing a Special Issue Topic
You should choose a topic close to your own research interests. The topic of the Special Issue must be of increasing interest within your field and within the scope of the journal. It should be broad enough to attract a reasonable number of submissions, but narrow enough to provide a cohesive collection of articles.
Special Issues often focus on the interface of two or more traditional disciplines, a recent advance in the field, or an emerging societal challenge. If you have noticed a surge in interest in a particular subject at recent conferences, this is a good sign that a related proposal will generate significant interest.
Describing the Scope
The scope should state the intended focus of the Special Issue. It should emphasize the current relevance of the subject and indicate why new research on the subject is warranted.
It is key to strike a balance between length and detail. Too little detail could result in a lack of focus or scientific merit. Too much detail can be overly prescriptive and limit interest in the Special Issue. SciencePG recommends approximately 150-400 words for the statement of scope.
Suggesting Keywords
In addition to the statement of scope, a Special Issue should include at least 6 keywords. These keywords are ‘signposts’ for the direction of the Special Issue, providing authors with guidance on areas in which they may wish to submit. Suggested keywords are another opportunity to focus the Special Issue, but the Lead Guest Editor should be wary of excessively narrowing the scope.
Recruiting an Editorial Team
All Special Issues are led by a single Lead Guest Editor and a team of at least 6 Guest Editors. The proposal should state the name and affiliation of all editors of the proposed issue. This team ensures the Special Issue team will have sufficient capacity and expertise to handle all incoming submissions.
We will review these editors to ensure they meet the journal’s editorial requirements. We also encourage teams to include editors from multiple institutions and locations. This diversity reduces conflicts of interest and helps the issue reach a wider audience.

Responsibilities of the Lead Guest Editor
The Lead Guest Editor plays a significant role in a Special Issue, who is mainly responsible for maintaining the quality of published articles and enhancing the impact of the Special Issue.
●  Recruit an editorial team (at least 6 guest editors) to review the manuscripts submitted to the Special Issue.
●  Promote your Special Issue and invite authors to submit manuscripts.
●  Make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of submitted manuscripts.
●  Cross-check the manuscripts and ensure their quality.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
Please note that all papers submitted to Special Issues are subject to an article processing charge (APC) if they are accepted for publication. The APC is the same as that of the corresponding journal in which the Special Issue is published. For more details, please pay a visit to:
How Much Does Science Publishing Group Charge for the Journal?

American Journal of Theoretical and Applied Business is an Open Access journal accessible for free on the Internet. With Open Access, Science Publishing Group (SPG) allows us to distribute knowledge more widely and at a lower cost than was previously possible. However, to cover the editorial services and production of an article, the journal depends on Article Processing Charge (APC).

Who is Responsible for Paying the Article Processing Charge?
Once an article is editorially accepted, the corresponding author will be notified about the payment issue, which is charged to either the author, or the funder, institution or employer.
When and How do Authors Pay?
The submitting author needs to arrange payment of the article-processing charge unless a waiver has been granted. Following peer review, once a manuscript has received editorial acceptance in principle, the article-processing charge becomes payable and formatting checks on the manuscript will commence. Once formatting checks are completed, and payment of the article-processing charge has been received, the article will be published.

Are reprints of my article included in the Article Processing Charge (APC)? - No.
