From 2005 to 2006, Assessing the Status of Lean Production System in the UK SME's , An Exploratory study of the impact Lean Production System of Manufacturing and its tools and techniques on the UK Small and Medium Scale Enterprises
From 2009 to 2018, Application of Optimum Manufacturing Strategy to an Automobile manufacturing Company , Past literatures on Optimum Manufacturing Strategy were reviewed and applied to case study Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM). A painstaking analysis of their production processes revealed that Over-production, Waiting, Excess inventory, Defects, and Over-processing are the major wastes that are impeding their progress and profitability. However, the successful application of robust design to the firm revealed that Over-production and Waiting have the greatest impact and therefore the highest forms of wastes in IVM. The findings on the degrees of wastes in the company with the traditional analysis were validated by Design Expert (8.0) software. Although the software predicted the Continuous Improvement (CI) for the company as 95% possibility, in IVM’s first three months of production, Over-production had the highest percentage of waste contribution of 87.95, followed by Excess inventory, Defects, and Over-processing with 5.57, 4.77, and 1.71 respectively, although the same fin
